any ideas as to next semesters possible events/field trips?

as of right now were thinking about going to happy camp and observing the native american culture that once thrived as it still does in the local areas of siskiyou county. Also we were thinking of taking a field trip to the very multi-cultural community of ashland oregan where we would like to check out a foreign film or two and even possibly eat at some ethnic eateries

whens a good time to meet?

we're trying to decide on a proper meeting time and day of the week which would work with your schedule next semester. Remember we meet twice a month and can meet monday-friday but we could start meeting every week if anyones in favor but its all up to you guys...so tell us what you think and help make next semesters as much of a blast as this one was!

thank you

id like to take this chance and thank the marketing team we have from ms. jayne turks group communication class. They have been slaving away helping make the intercultural club "pop" in comparison to the other clubs on campus. These guys are a great group of people that have been doing everything from making tshirts for the club to revamping the website for those interested in joining the club. Great work and thank you so much guys we appreciate all the time and effort you put into improving our club and for that we feel so very grateful to have you guys on board.
Thanks

"the cats of mirikitani" club movie showing

Prior to leaving to tule lake we were lucky enough to have the oppurtunity to watch "the cats of mirikitani". It is a movie about an eighty-year-old Jimmy Mirikitani who survived the trauma of WWII internment camps, Hiroshima, and homelessness by creating art. But when 9/11 threatens his life on the New York City streets a local filmmaker brings him into her home, the two embark on a journey to confront Jimmy's painful past. The film is an intimate exploration of the lingering wounds of war and the healing powers of friendship and art, this documentary won the Audience Award at its premiere in the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Its well worth the watch...but youll have to see it for yourself, check it out : )
